SSL problem

Activation and update checks are HTTPS. A bad certificate looks like a WinStack outage.

Symptoms

• cURL error 60
• “unable to get local issuer certificate”
• Mixed-content warnings in admin

Fix

1. Install a certificate that matches the public hostname.
2. Redirect HTTP to HTTPS.
3. Set APP_URL to the HTTPS origin.
4. Confirm the server clock is accurate (TLS and assertions both care).
